Archaeology Notes

NS31SE 6 357 144

See also NS31SE 36.

About 10 years ago (c.1827) some silver coins were found in the churchyard (of Dalrymple). Two of them, in the possession of the writer (NSA 1845, R Wallace), are of the reign of James I of Scotland (1424-36), and apparently half-groats.

J Paterson 1847

Centred NS 357 144. No further information was obtained during field investigation.
