Archaeology Notes

NS25SE 11 26841 50335.

(NS 2684 5032) Baidland, a 17th century manor house, is now a farmstead. The original dwelling is T-shaped, with a square projecting staircase to the rear. It is two storeys high on a raised cellar, and has crowstepped gables. A wing added at right angles, dated 1721, now makes an L-shaped range.

SDD List 1963

Modernised and with later extensions, this L-shaped farmhouse has a harled exterior and crow-stepped gables as stated. No date inscriptions are visible externally.
