Archaeology Notes

NS24SE 26 274 442

See also NS24SE 1.

Apart from NS24SE 1, there are possibly remains of five other crannogs in Ashgrove Loch (centred NS 274 442). Nothing has been done to explore them.

J Smith 1894.

Perambulation around this now largely silted loch revealed nothing significant. Examination of available RAF air photographs also proved negative.

Visited by OS (JRL), 7 October 1982.
