A stone, similar to an ancient standing stone, but not standing on end. Mr Smyth of Auchnaba made some excavations round it, and found human bones (Name Book 1867). It measures 14'9" x 2'7" x 10 1/2".

Activities

Field Visit (June 1981)

This fallen stone, situated about 140 m SSE of Achnabreck, is 4.6 m long, 0.92 m wide and 0.22 m thick at its W end; the other end is obscured by turf. It is recorded that the stone had already fallen by 1867, and that excavation close to it produced human bones (Name Book 1867; Campbell and Sandeman 1964).
