OS 6" map (1925)

The fragmentary remains of a dun, protected by an outwork, occupy the summit of Eilean Araich Mhoir. It has measured c.20m x 9m internally, but the wall is reduced to a boulder-strewn scarp in which a short stretch of the outer face is visible in the ESE. The entrance was probably on the ENE. The outwork, now also reduced to a stony scarp, encloses the dun on all sides except the SW, where the steep rock-face gives sufficient protection. A 5.5m wide gap in the ENE marks the position of the entrance.
