NR 705 970. Cairn

RCAHMS Undated.

NR 7056 970. Situated on a prominent ridge end is a robbed cairn overgrown with turf and heather. It measures 4.5m in diameter and 0.3m high with one kerb stone in situ and another probable example, now displaced. The centre is hollowed and may have been re-used as a shieling bothy or lambing pen.

Surveyed at 1/10,000.

NR 705 970. A stony mound about 5.5m in diameter and 0.5m high situated on the crest of the ridge E of Barnhill, appears to be a prehistoric burial-cairn.
