Archaeology Notes

NR72SE 3 c. 75 20.

A quern with a carved cross, found on Davaar Island (NR 75 20) is now in Campbeltown Museum. The fact that the island is named from St Barr (dated circa 610) and was recorded as 'Insula de Sanctbarr' in 1507 may have some relevance.

W J Watson 1926; Information from D Colville 1960.
