Activities

Field Visit (May 1980)

NR69NE 2 666 983.

This cairn stands some 200m SW of the deserted farm of Goirtean Uamh nan Giall; measuring about 8.5m by 7.5m and 0.7m in height, it has a small cist at its centre (0.7m by 0.36m and 0.43m deep). A slab, 1.38m by 0.12m, is visible protruding above the cairn material on the NE, but its purpose is uncertain.

RCAHMS 1984, visited May 1980

Measured Survey (May 1980)

This cairn was surveyed by plane-table and alidade at a scale of 1:100. A plan of the cist at 1:25 was also taken. The plans were redrawn in ink and then published at a reduced scale (RCAHMS 1984 Fig. 54B)
