(NR 6489 5217) A cairn 36ft by 30ft by 8ft high was located in April 1971.

Information from R E MacCallum to OS, 1962.

(NR 6491 5222) This cairn is situated about 230m SE of Aird Thor Innse, overlooking the S end of West Tarbert Bay. The field in which it stands has formerly been under cultivation. It appears as a circular grass-grown mound measuring 9.1m in diameter and 2.1m in maximum height. A few stones are visible in the turf, including a thin slab set on edge near the foot of the cairn on the E side which probably represents the remains of a cist; it measures 0.9m in length by 0.5m in height and is about 0.13m thick.

RCAHMS 1971.

The cairn is generally as described by RCAHMS. Its true perimeter, however, appears to have been ploughed out to some extent, and its height is emphasised by the addition of stone clearance.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (J M) 20 January 1978.

Cairn now has exposed stone on W side and on top.
