(NR 6420 4806) Standing Stone (NR) (Site of).

OS 6" map, (1924)

The site of a standing stone described in 1772 as o'a great rude column, sixteen feet high, four broad and eight inches thick' (Pennant 1774).

It was still extant, although leaning to the SW, about 1790 (OSA 1791-9); appears to have been removed about 1800 and no trace remained in 1869.

No trace of this stone was found.
