(NR 6938 2404) Standing Stone (NR)

OS 6" map (1866)

This stone has been moved from its original site at NR 6935 2406 where it now lies flat at the edge of the field. It is 8ft 4 ins long, 2ft 6 ins broad at one end and 1ft 4 ins at the other. The thickness at the broad end is 8 ins and at the narrow end 1ft 4 ins.

The stone is as described and lies by the side of a stone dyke with other boulders cleared from an arable field.
