NR58SW 3 5383 8155

At NR 5383 8155 at the base of a cliff on the landward side of a raised beach are two adjacent caves. The larger, 8.0m deep and 3.0m wide, has a fairly recent wall across the entrance; the smaller measures 7.5m deep and 3.0m wide. Across the entrances to the caves is a large shell midden comprised mainly of limpets, with an admixture of whelks, oysters and dark brown earth. It measures 11.0m long, about 9.5m wide and up to 2.0m high.

Its date cannot be determined.
