An archaeological walkover survey was conducted in advance of the construction of a new water main route between Garve and Strathpeffer in Ross-shire and several new sites of archaeological interest were identified.

NH 40931 60405 Sub-oval cairn of 30cm long cobbles, aligned E-W; situated on SW-facing slope, partly covered by turf, moss and bracken and surrounded on all sides by rushes although the encompassing hillslope is comprised of grassy ground that appears at one time to have been cultivated
