OS 6" map, Argyllshire, 2nd ed., (1900)

This stone was extant in 1878 when it was described as about 6ft in height and 1 1/2ft in breadth, standing in an arable field. No further information could be obtained.

Name Book 1878.

No trace of this stone was found.

Visited by OS (J B) 10 June 1978.

Field Visit (June 1975)

NR 359 605. There is no trace of the standing stone that was situated about 270m NW of Neriby farmhouse. It is recorded (Ordnance Survey Name Book 1878) that in 1878 it measured about 2m in height and 0.5m in breadth.
