Activities

Watching Brief (February 2022 - March 2022)

NT 11566 78258 A programme of works was undertaken, in February and March 2022, on land near Echline, South Queensferry prior to residential development. The programme comprised a metal-detecting survey and an archaeological monitored strip. The metal-detecting identified four modern finds. Three discrete pits and a possible structure of likely prehistoric date were recorded during the monitored strip along with a boundary ditch, stone wall foundations and furrows which are all post-medieval in date.
