This concrete floor is situated in open ground on the E verge of the road about 8m N of the Loch gate in the Security Fence (NY26NW 46.11). It measures about 1.5m from N to S by 1m transversely and 0.3m in height. There is a low step on the N.
It is possible that this was a small sentry box guarding access to the gate and it is visible on an aerial photograph (USN/219/206 0090) flown on 26 July 1963.
