Activities

Aerial Photography (4 August 2022)

Out of Fife to Angus. Infrequent late season colouring led to recording several new sites in the area. Back to Fife via Perthshire where some cropmarks were observed too.

(Information from HES Archaeological Survey (L. Banaszek) 4 August 2022)

Aerial Photographic Interpretation (15 February 2023)

The remains of two field boundaries and what may be two souterrains have been recorded as cropmarking on oblique aerial photographs (HESAP 2022) in a field to the E of Mouse’s Thrapple. The field boundaries are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Forfarshire 1865, sheet xxxiv).

Information from HES Archaeological Survey (S. Hood) 15 February 2023.
