A Cairn and Martyrs Gate, plaque and other elements is dedicated to Thomas Muir, a political reformist and the Scottish Political Martyrs were erected at Huntershill Village by John SL Watson, and partly funded by the East Dunbartonshire Council. Unveiled by the leader of East Dunbartsonshire Council, John Morrison (2003).
