Field Visit (9 December 2020)

The site is shown on the First Edition Ordnance Survey as a large rectangular enclosure with a rectangular structure. The enclosure is visible on the second edition. Neither the structure nor the enclosure are shown on modern mapping, although the site is visible on aerial imagery.

The site was identified as a rectangular structure measuring 40.7m north-south by 24.1m transversely. It contained a smaller rectangular drystone wall structure measuring 11m by 10m. The walls were constructed of worked stone blocks and were preserved to a maximum height of 1.2m. The walls were 0.3m wide.
