General view from SE of two surviving Quinan stove/ drying house buildings, R18 and R19, latterly gutted and converted for use as transit sheds. Quinan Stoves were used to dry nitrocotton, and there were originally 36 stoves, arranged in a rectangular 4 by 9 regular grid, all connected by tramway.
