Activities

Field Visit (28 June 2021 - 13 July 2021)

NR 92689 76131 (centred) A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were carried out from 28 June to 13 July 2021, in advance of a woodland creation scheme focused on Inveryne Farm, Kilfinan. The walkover survey recorded 10 archaeological sites. These included a series of stone and turf dykes forming field systems, three stone quarries, a possible structure, and a small lithic scatter. Seven undiagnostic lithics were recovered from an area of disturbed ground adjacent to one of the recorded quarries.
