(NR 2996 4221) Carn na h-Airde Duibhe (NAT)

OS 6" map (1900)

'Cairn of the Black Point', a cairn of stones situated in Loch Kinnabus.

Name Book 1878

Carn Na h-Airde Duibhe consists, after a spell of dry, warm weather of two tiny islets, joined by stepping stones. On the larger, western islet are almost certainly the remains of a cairn. The smaller, eastern islet is itself a small, circular cairn.

W D Lamont 1960

Natural.

Visited by RCAHMS 3 June 1977

Two small rocky 'islands' protruding above the surface of a shallow part of Loch Kinnabus. There are no stepping stones visible and there is no trace of a cairn.

Visited by OS (BS) 29 May 1978.
