Activities

Note (6 September 2020)

Date Fieldwork Started: 06/09/2020

Location Notes: The cup marked stone was identified previously as being in an area of recently felled forestry. However, there is no date given as to when that was. The area appears to have been partially felled possibly 30 years ago, and mature trees now cover the area. The boulders in the area are covered sphagnum moss over 0.2m thick. No boulders could be seen that had anything that appeared to be cup marks or geological anomalies that may have been thought to be cupmarks. There is a possibility that the cup marked stone is hidden beneath moss. However, as it is described as 3 x 3m it should have been visible.
