Activities

Field Visit (1 March 2011 - 3 March 2011)

Pre-afforestation survey recorded a drystone circular shelter with wings extending NE and SW. There is one small creep entrance to the circle. The feature is on a slight rise some distance from the river edge and there is no trace of any earlier shieling structures although this may have been a shieling area with the stones of any huts robbed in the building of the sheep shelter.

Information from Catherine Dagg (Highland Archaeological Services) 1 April 2011. OASIS ID: highland4-101460, no.4.1
