Activities

Field Visit (5 September 2019)

This cracked concrete floor is situated 46m NE of a light anti-aircraft emplacement located on the top of a knoll (NG89SW 22). It is rectangular on plan and measures 11.3m from NNW to SSE by 5m transversely and 0.55m high, and the edges are rebated for timber sill-beams. Two steps at the NNW end indicate the presence of a doorway; another probably existed at the SSE end, explaining the presence of a path leading from there to another building (NG89SW.4.20).

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK), 5 September 2019.
