Field Visit (May 2019)
A desk-based assessment and walkover survey were conducted over 13 different parcels of land located around Barrhill, during May 2019. The remains and/or location of a number of former farmsteads, a ditch and bank, a prehistoric enclosure, clearance cairns and a number of wells/springs were recorded.
Large field clearance cairn, 2.5m high and 10m diameter and spreading to the west.
