Activities

Field Visit (September 1975)

(3) NT 092 501. One of the largest of the round cairns in group '2' (A on plan) has a diameter of 7.0m and a height of 0.9m. It is unusual in that it is encircled by a low bank of earth and small stones; the bank measures 11.9m in diameter over all, about 1.2m thick and not more than 0.3m high. An intrusive pit in the top shows that the cairn is composed mainly of medium-sized boulders.

RCAHMS 1978, visited September 1975.
