Location Notes: The panel lies in a field of rough grazing on a NW facing slope. The panel has views of the sea to the W, N and to the E with Hynish Bay and the hills of Mull. Beinn Hough is visible to the NW. The view to the S is restricted by the slope of the low hill but Ben Hynish is visible above the hill. Loch an Eilein is visible to the NE.
The field in which the panel lies has been sub-divided in the past and there a number of fence posts and indications that the E side has been cultivated in the past with rig and furrow. There is a minor road at the N end of the field and a farm to the NE. The panel, a small outcrop, is surrounded by short turf in an area with a number of similar small outcrops some of which have rock art on them (Heylipol 1-5, NT 010, NT 011, NT 013, NT 014). The outcrop lies 45m E of the W post and wire of the field and 88m N of the S fence.
Panel Notes: This kidney-shaped panel, lying NS with the convex surface to the E, lies flat on the ground. It is 2.2m N-S by a maximum of 1.2m E-W and a maximum of 0.15m high on the W side, disappearing into the turf on the E. The top of the outcrop has a slight slope to the W with a sharp edge on the W side. The cup marks are scattered N-S along the W side of the top of the outcrop with no clear arrangement. There appear to be 17 cups about 1cm deep and 6cm diameter. There are 2 incomplete cups which are on the W edge of the outcrop. The turf was lifted on the E side but there were no other cups visible. The outcrop has a light cover of lichen.
