Location Notes: Glennan 2 is situated at the base of a wooded, SW-facing rocky slope at the edge of a field of Easter Eurach farm used for animal grazing. The carvings are located on the flat top of a step-shaped outcrop, immediately to the N of a gate and to the NW of the end of a fieldwall that borders where the valley sides meet the valley floor. The farm buildings are located to the SE, and the B840 road to the N and W. Glennan 1 (on a burial cairn) and Glennan 3 are nearby, to the SW and S respectively; a standing stone is also visible near to the farm. The site has views of the valley towards Eurach/Carnassarie, and is S of the farm at Creag-an-Tairbh.
Panel Notes: Glennan 2 is a step-like outcrop measuring 2.5m by 1.6 m by 0.8m high at its highest point, with the carved surface largely flat. The rock is hard with a fine grain, and some coloured bands are present. The surface has fissures/cracks, natural hollows, bedding planes and rough surface. Motifs include 23 solo cups and and additional 4 possible cupmarks. The cups along the W edge of the panel are closely aligned, and there appears to be a diagonal alignment of smaller cups across of the centre of the panel. The panel is partially covered by turf and shrubs. Rock type identified using online information from the British Geological Survey.
