Location Notes: The panel is located on a S/SW/W sloping hill, roughly 100 m distance from a path and gateway. The location offers a clear view of Carnasserie Castle (Canmore ID: 22835), the two standing stones (Canmore ID: 22838) and a large burial cairn to the SW. The panel can be access by following the path from Carnasserie Castle car park, past the castle and the farm houses and through the abandoned village.
Panel Notes: On discovery, the panel was covered in a significant amount of moss and lichen which was cleaned off before recording. The panel features 13 cup marks, 6 of which can be confidently interpreted and 8 of which are either probable or possible. There is one additional cup mark which is surrounded by a partial ring. A cluster of four cup marks are positioned at the narrower end of the rock, creating a squashed diamond shape motif, with three cups running in an arc with the fourth slightly apart and aligned with the centre of the cup mark of the arc.
In addition to these motifs, the rock surface features numerous natural hollows and two cracks, from which moss was also removed prior to recording.
