Archaeology Notes

NO79NE 8 c. 77 96.

c.1832, a farmer, in trenching out the foundations of some old houses and dykes on his farm in Durris parish, found a number of small copper and silver coins, but none of them in a state of good preservation.

From their appearance they were supposed to be 'Danish'.

New Statistical Account (NSA) 1845.
