Archaeology Notes

NO79NE 15 c. 795 985.

An arrow head of yellow flint was lately found on Keith's Moor, and others are occasionally picked up. (Arrowheads found (NAT) is published at NO 796 984 and the Ornance Survey Name Book (ONB, 1864) links this entry with the nearby site of the battle between the Keiths' and Irvines, but in fact it may apply to this site.)

New Statistical Account (NSA) 1845; Name Book 1864.
