The Mill of Conveth is mentioned in documents of 1242 and 1245.

The Mill of Convaith, in Newlands parish, is recorded in 1662.

'1703. A stone at Mill of Conveth in front of the house, among a heap of stones, has the inscription S D C for Sir David Carnegie. Others have '1679' and '1703'. A corner stone built into the mill has '00' - probably part of 1700.'

John Carnegie was a tenant of Mill of Conveth in 1698.

Mill of Conveth: Mid-19th century. Two-storey rubble and slate with a pyramidal roof kiln. (NO 7287 7430)

(Location cited as NO 728 743). Mill of Conveth, mid 19th century. A two-storey and attic rubble building with a striking pyramidal-roofed kiln, now gutted and part of a farm steading.
