Note (12 November 2019)

This probable slate working cell or structure was observed during survey by HES on Easdale island. It is constructed of slate blocks. In this structure a splitter or trimmer would have finished the processing of quarried slate material prior to shipment off the island. This and a structure to the south are built into slate waste and may post-date the tipping.

Information from Miriam McDonald, Industry and Architecture, Heritage Directorate, HES, 12 November 2019.
