Desk Based Assessment (11 November 2019)
This quarry is named and depicted as 'Old Quarry'on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey 25-inch map (Argyllshire and Buteshire, surveyed 1871, published 1872, sheet CXXI.6) and is shown as a flooded quarry measuring some 252 square metres (0.06 acres). This quarry appears to have been filled in at its southern end and the later quarry extended to the north-west (NM71NW 116).
