Field Visit (15 March 2019)
The grass-grown remains of a silage clamp are situated on gently sloping ground 13m SSE of the track leading from the North Sutor Land Service Battery Site No1 to Site No.2 (NH86NW 9.48). Rectangular on plan and open to the WSW, it measures 28.8m from ENE to WSW by 9.5m transversely within a narrow ditch up to 1.5m wide and 0.3m deep. The upcast from its excavation is piled up untidily just outside the line of the ditch, which marks the line of the fence that formerly enclosed the clamp.
Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK), 15 March 2019.
