Activities

Field Visit (15 March 2019)

This moss- and grass-grown concrete building platform, which is terraced into a SSE-facing slope, is situated 35m WNW of the Engine House (NJ86NW 9.67) that possibly provided power to the Hydrophone Station (NJ86NW 9.78). It is rectangular on plan and measures at least 5.8m from N to S by 4.5m transversely. It is also partly obscured by an old oil drum and a pile of metal cowls robbed from the roof vents of buildings located elsewhere in the battery.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (ATW, AKK), 15 March 2019.
