Note (16 July 2019)

Only 161 pillar boxes were erected during the short reign of Edward VIII across Britain. Very few of these are thought to survive intact, as the logo on many was subsequently changed from Edward VIII to that of George VI.

The post box is a standard design, with the letter openings being part of the door itself, and not separate, as had been the case with earlier boxes.
