Archaeology Notes

NO69NW 4 61 96.

A small stone circle, known as "The Worship Stones stood at Inchbaire (? Inchbrae: NO 610 965) about a mile below Bridge of Potarch (NO 6077 9730).

It was removed about 1870 and no details of its appearance are now available.

J Ritchie 1919.

A "druidical circle" stood about half a mile below the Bridge of Potarch, 100 yds W of the river, but the last stone has been removed.

R Dinnie 1865.

No local knowledge of a stone circle at Inchbrae.
