Field Visit (30 June 2016)
CFA Archaeology Ltd assessed the likely effects of the proposed Burnfoot Hill East Wind Farm Extension on archaeology and cultural heritage assets. A walkover survey of the proposed development site was undertaken on 30
June 2016. Two heritage assets have been identified within the proposed development area. A shepherd’s cairns (1) and an old quarry (2) are each assessed as being of negligible sensitivity.

A quarry measuring 12m east-west by 6m wide transversely and up to 1m deep has been excavated into a bedrock knoll; the entrance being in the north side at the east end.
