51 Braid Farm Road was recorded in 2019 due to its sale by the original owners and architect. The house was designed by the architect Ronald Douglas Cameron as his family home. It was completed in 1969. Cameron extended the ground floor by adding a master bedroom and shower room in 1974. A new kitchen was installed in 1984, designed by Cameron with a German design firm. The house was further extended in 2004 with the addition of the garden room, also designed by Cameron.
The house was built on a 0.4 acre plot bought for £350 in 1968. The plot was part of the former Braid Farm. The house is built on the site of demolished farm buildings, shown on 1st Edition OS Map (1:2,500). Braid Farm House still survives and is located immediately north of 51 Braid Farm Road NT 2490 7012.
