Archaeology Notes

NO68NE 5 662 868.

Centred at NO 662 868 is a field system marked by stone clearance heaps, lynchets, and a few ruinous walls. There are several well-preserved fields, two of which measure 50.0m x 25.0m and 15.0m x 12.0m. It is partly overlaid by more recent cultivation.

A Late Bronze Age hoard was found close by in 1951 (see NO68NE 1).

Visited by OS (A A) 23 November 1972.
