Activities

Field Visit (30 September 2013 - 9 October 2013)

Bridge over the Greeto Water. Still in use. Bridge supports of a drystone construction with mortar reinforcing in places. Some later brick repairs within South footing. Bridge deck span utilises Iron beams with wooden slats to surface. No evidence of arched stonework indicating an earlier stone span.

Bridge spans a width of 5m, with the deck standing roughly 4m above the riverbed below. Likely that earlier water crossings utilised this same location.
