Metal Detector Find (2017)

NT 55 30 An unusual variant of an Iron Age button and loop fastener was found during metal detecting. The ‘button’ is square with a raised bossed lentoid motif; the ‘loop’ is replaced by a rectangular plate (perhaps once decorated) with a loop on its rear.

Claimed as Treasure Trove (TT 76/17) and allocated to NMS (X.FA 145)
