Tresness. This steading consists of an irregular square of buildings arranged around a large courtyard. The gutted threshing barn, now a hay barn, has a well-preserved horse-engine house attached. The complex was still in use, though at low intensity, and in poor repair on the date of visit.

Field Visit (1999)
This steading was recorded by the Scottish Farm Buildings Survey. It consists of a complex of buildings arranged around a yard. A hexagonal horse-engine house, attached to the old threshing barn, remains in fairly good condition. The buildings in general, however, are in a state of some decay.
