Description: An irregular shaped three sided dry stone built structure with an extension. The longest portion extends to 11m with either end having a rounded corner and extending a further 5m and 6m. At the corner of the 6m extension another extension from the 11m portion turns slightly in the opposite direction and extends a further 8m. The general width of the structure was .6m and where intact the wall had a height of 1.2m with coping stones. The structure is depicted on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey as a 'Bield’.

Two sites (66, 67) located on the north slope of Ward Law are listed as 'bield’ on the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey. These types of structures were used for lamb birthing activities. However the two exhibited differing designs in their construction with site 66 being a three sided structure with an extension and the remains of site 67 being T-shaped.
