Archaeology Notes

NO64NE 48 centred at NO 68770 49340

An unenclosed settlement has been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1982, 1988,1993, 1994, 1998) about 450m NE of Newbarns. A scatter of crescentic and circular cropmarks probably mark the positions of round houses, and small crescentic cropmarks may relate to the position of souterrains.

Information from RCAHMS (KMM) 8 January 2004.
