Archaeology Notes

NO63NW 4 6065 3810.

Rectilinear.

Aerial photographs show the cropmarks of a possible enclosure with rig-and-furrow cultivation 590m S of Meadows Wood. The sub-rectangular ditched enclosure measures about 28m by 20m, and has an entrance on the SE side. Traces of rig intersect this enclosure, running in an NNW-SSE direction, and extend across the field and the field immediately to the W. Cropmarks of further rig, and another possible enclosure, are visible in the field immediately to the W (NO63NW 26).
