Activities

Field Visit (24 March 2017)

This bridge, which carries a minor public road over the Murrayshall Burn, is constructed of quarried stone. Its SE end has been renovated in recent times but that part which incorporates the culvert through which the burn flows appears to be original, though it has been reinforced by the addition of two steel ties through its thickness. The rounded arch of the culvert is supported on vertical abutments.

Visited by HES, Survey and Recording (JRS) 24 March 2017.
