Public Site Comment (14 March 2017)

About 165m NE of the main transmitter site (see NO44SE 46.0) on the summit of Gallow Hill are the remains of a tall concrete pillar, surrounded four concrete and metal mast bases, and an underground bricklined chamber. This is probably the reserve transmitter in the event of the main transmitters being put out of action.

Information from Grant Hutchison to HES 13 March 2017.
